Join Our Team as a Residential Childcare Support Worker!

Are you a warm and motivated individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? At Bay View Childcare, we are excited to invite you to become a part of our welcoming team in Capernwray, Carnforth. In this fulfilling role, you will work in one of our family-style homes, supporting up to four young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Your Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will:

• Create a safe, nurturing, and homely environment where every young person can thrive.
• Help children build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality care and key worker support, consistently meeting and exceeding Ofsted standards.
• Build trusting, positive relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals.
• Contribute to individual care plans and support routines.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming home environment, assisting with daily tasks like cooking and shopping.
• Support children through daily activities, responding appropriately to their needs.
• Record progress and incidents accurately, ensuring clear communication with management.
• Act as a positive role model, fostering a culture of trust and teamwork.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A full UK driving licence.
• A commitment to completing either the Level 3 Diploma or Level 4 Practitioner Apprenticeship within two years if you don’t already hold a relevant qualification.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern totaling 40 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to earn a base salary of £26,603.20 per annum, with the potential to increase your earnings up to £33,323.20 per annum through sleep-in shifts.
