Your Role

We are on the lookout for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our dynamic team at the West Thurrock Operating Centre. You will play a crucial role in supporting freight deliveries to customers and other P&G sites across the UK.

As part of a 24-hour operation, you will work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with a variety of night shift start times ranging from 16:00 to 03:00. Shifts typically last between 8 to 12 hours, averaging 40 hours per week, with flexibility to meet operational needs.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Deliver P&G products to customers across the UK using curtain side drop trailers.
• Follow a typical routine of collecting loaded trailers at the P&G Plant, delivering to customers, and returning to the plant.
• Potentially shuttle between different P&G Distribution Centres, picking up and delivering containers to ports.

  • Market Premium: £3.00 per hour for all hours worked
  • Shift Premium: £4.00 per hour for unsociable hours (17:00 - 07:00 on weekdays, all hours on weekends)
  • Overtime Pay: 1.5 times the combined rate for overtime from Monday to Saturday, and 2 times for Sundays.

Qualifications We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• A current HGV Class 1 license and valid driver CPC
• At least 2 years of experience in commercially driving Class 1 HGV
• Experience in palletized goods distribution
• No more than 6 points on your driving license, with no Dangerous Driving (DD) or Drink Driving (DR) endorsements
• References from previous employers (preferred)
