Our studios are among the world’s leading motion picture and television production facilities. Your New Role

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to lead our Technical Services team at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making Of Harry Potter (WBSTL).

As the Technical Services Manager, you will oversee all show-related aspects of the Studio Tour, including lighting, sound, video, sets, props, and show control. Collaborating closely with original filmmakers and select suppliers, you’ll ensure that our Studio Tour operates at the highest standards, delivering a world-class visitor experience.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Team Leadership: Manage, train, and develop the Technical Services team to ensure high performance and compliance with service standards.

• Technical Excellence: Maintain show systems and deliver planned preventative maintenance to maximize reliability and lifespan.

• Health & Safety Champion: Proactively resolve technical issues and enhance processes to improve visitor experience.

• Resource Planning: Oversee staffing and operational efficiency to ensure the department runs smoothly.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to ensure effective planning and delivery of technical installations.

• Operational Management: Act as Duty Manager and Duty Technician to manage daily operations across the Studio Tour.

• Budget Management: Handle departmental budgets and supplier relationships to ensure strong cost control.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous management experience leading a Technical Services team in the tourism, leisure, or heritage industry.

• Technical expertise in AV installations, including electronics and networked show control systems.

• Strong project and supplier management skills with excellent communication abilities.

• Proven ability to lead multi-skilled technical teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Solid knowledge of facilities management and effective problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational and IT skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to change.

• Relevant qualifications and certifications (e.g., IPAF, PASMA, IOSH, NBOSH) are advantageous.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) with a shift pattern. Due to the nature of our visitor attraction, you will be required to work weekends and evenings on a rotating basis. Flexibility is key, as you may also work during bank holidays and school holidays.

As an ambassador for our business, you will support the Head of Show Experience and represent them in meetings with third parties when necessary.
