Your Role
As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. Your work schedule will consist of 4 shifts from 7, primarily Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for weekend coverage. Shift start times typically range from 01:00 AM to 06:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, promptly reporting any issues.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured and handled properly to prevent damage.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to meet schedules and minimize fuel consumption.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to strict health and safety procedures at all times.
- Represent P&G professionally in all interactions.

Qualifications We’re Looking For
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no Dangerous Driving (DD) or Drink Driving (DR) endorsements.
- Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) / CPC.
- Proven experience as an HGV driver, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
- Excellent knowledge of driving regulations, tachograph rules, and road safety procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and prolonged driving.
- A strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- References from previous employers are a plus!
