Your Role
As a Primary Class Teacher at Herdley Bank School, you will play a vital role in the educational journey of pupils with diverse special educational and learning needs. Your support will empower them to gain independence and fully engage in the curriculum and school life.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, catering to the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Collaborate with the class team to create enriching learning opportunities and foster positive behaviors.
- Monitor and report on pupils' progress, working closely with other staff to meet their needs.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage interaction and enhance learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong educational background at degree level.
- Previous successful teaching experience.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in effective behavior management techniques.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn.
