Location: Bridgwater
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 38 hours per week

Exciting Salary Opportunities

  • Unqualified: £27,866.34 basic salary, with potential earnings of up to £33,447.67 including sleep-in shifts
  • Qualified: £29,181.57 basic salary, with potential earnings of up to £34,762.90 including sleep-in shifts

Your Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with challenging behaviors. This position requires flexibility, resilience, honesty, and strong organizational skills. Your commitment to delivering high-quality care will help each young person achieve positive outcomes.

This is a permanent role with fantastic career prospects and comprehensive training within a growing organization. You’ll work an average of 38 hours per week on a two-days-on/four-days-off shift pattern, including two sleep-ins. Plus, enjoy generous allowances for bank holidays and overtime, along with a performance-related bonus!

Essential Skills

  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining clear, organized records
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive approach to teamwork
  • Capability to complete daily records in accordance with statutory and policy standards
  • Empathetic, patient, and supportive nature
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with young people
  • A Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People or a willingness to work towards one (fully funded by the employer)
