We are looking for a passionate and skilled individual to help us build a brand-new training framework from the ground up in Birmingham. This is a unique opportunity to enhance role-based training for our employees, ensuring they are equipped to identify and escalate Financial Crime risks effectively.
Overall Purpose of the Role
Your mission will be to develop a comprehensive training program driven by regulatory findings from the Federal Reserve and FCA Skilled Persons reviews. You will focus on empowering specific employees, such as Relationship Managers and KYC Analysts, to understand their unique Financial Crime risks.
Key Skills We’re Looking For
- Financial Crime or Compliance Knowledge: A deep understanding of the field to accurately identify risks like fraud and train staff on upcoming regulations, including EU AML Authority and virtual asset regulations.
- Tangible Training Expertise: Proven experience in instructional design and creating engaging training content that goes beyond policy documents.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage potential pushback from line managers and Business Management teams up to the Director level.
- Good Governance Skillset: Experience in developing oversight of controls, including designing and testing them, or solid experience in Financial Crime policy and audit documentation.
- Evaluation and Measurement: Familiarity with methodologies for evaluating training effectiveness, such as tracking improvements in QA scores or training pass rates.
- Desirable Certifications: Relevant Financial Crime certifications and formal instructional design training (like Cornerstone academy courses) are preferred but not mandatory.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a targeted, role-based mandatory training framework from scratch.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments/Analysis (TNA) and role mapping to identify specific training requirements for employees.
- Design and create comprehensive training materials, including presentation decks, e-learning courses, and learning labs.
- Develop specialized content that teaches employees how to identify, manage, and escalate financial crime risks in their daily functions.
- Measure the impact and effectiveness of training programs to ensure learning objectives are met.
