Your Role
As a Primary Class Teacher at Herdley Bank School, you will play a pivotal role in the educational journey of pupils with diverse special educational and learning needs. Your contributions will help them gain independence and fully engage in the curriculum and school life.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, catering to the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Support the class team in creating enriching learning opportunities and fostering positive behaviors.
- Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to meet individual needs.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage interaction and enhance learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong educational background at degree level.
- Previous successful teaching experience.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in effective behavior management techniques.
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
