Your New Role

Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in maintaining safe and functional workplaces? Join our Facilities team and play a vital role in keeping our Soho Square operation running smoothly. From preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to office moves and safety initiatives, no two days will be the same!

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Ensure the facility is clean and in proper working order at all times.
  • Provide first-line support to all staff and clients for facility maintenance issues.
  • Liaise with and coordinate third-party contractors, including cleaners, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and pest control.
  • Collaborate with operational and scheduling staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage inventory and the moving/installation of furniture according to staff and client needs (heavy lifting required).
  • Conduct regular facility checks related to Health and Safety, including fire alarm checks and PPE stock maintenance.
  • Be knowledgeable about Health and Safety policies and conduct risk assessments and staff safety inductions.
  • Perform ad hoc decorating, carpentry, or installation work as needed.
  • Participate as a Fire Warden to ensure the safety of all personnel on site.
  • Be prepared for occasional out-of-hours work, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and staff.
  • Good general carpentry, metal work, and plumbing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in facility maintenance roles.
  • Ideal (but not essential): IOSH, First Aid at Work, Fire Door Inspection certifications.

Working Conditions

This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days will be carried out at the workplace. Subject to applicable laws, WBD reserves the right to change this working agreement as necessary for business needs.
