Your New Role
As part of the Production HR team, you will play a vital role in supporting the cast and crew working on productions across Warner Bros. Discovery. Your mission? To be a trusted HR partner, ensuring a respectful, inclusive, and positive work environment where everyone can shine.
Reporting to the GVP, People & Culture - International, you will lead the UK Production People Plan across our theatrical, DC Studios, HBO, and WBTV slate. This role requires strategic and operational leadership, ensuring our productions are supported by expert People & Culture Partners in fast-paced, high-risk environments.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Act as the senior People & Culture lead for UK High End TV (HETV) and Theatrical productions, serving as the escalation point for complex HR matters.
- Advise and coach Producers and Production Leaders on high-risk people matters, including employee relations and performance management.
- Provide strategic oversight to the UK Production People & Culture Partner team, ensuring consistent support and timely resolution of complex issues.
- Maintain a visible presence on set and at Leavesden Studios, building trust and proactively identifying people-related risks.
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the production lifecycle, ensuring people decisions align with creative delivery while managing risks.
- Design and lead bespoke training focused on respectful workplace behaviors and anti-harassment.
- Collaborate with international teams to align global production practices and share best practices.
- Champion a culture of respect, inclusion, and psychological safety on set.
- Conduct surveys to gauge cultural climate and engagement, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Lead various People & Culture projects, adapting to the fluid nature of production environments.
- Partner with unions and guilds to ensure consistent application of agreements and policies.
- Stay updated on employment legislation and industry standards to provide effective guidance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience in senior HR roles within television, film, or media environments.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and inspire action.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, navigating ambiguity with sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills, managing multiple priorities across concurrent productions.
- Confident presenter with experience in designing and delivering impactful training.
- Sound knowledge of UK legislation and industry regulations.
- Integrity and high ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
- A genuine passion for the film and television industry.
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 25%) and work on-site at Leavesden Studios 4 days a week.
- Degree or equivalent qualification or CIPD preferred.
Working Conditions
This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the place of work. Changes to this agreement may occur based on business needs.
