Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Building Solutions South team in the vibrant city of Sheffield.

Key Details

Location: Sheffield
Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours a week)

Your Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in our Building Solutions North team. You’ll be managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract management. Expect to spend 3+ days a week working from site or office, contributing to the delivery of high-quality projects.

What Will You Be Responsible For?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support our team in delivering exceptional projects for key strategic clients. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin and support budgeted profitability.
  • Tendering, evaluating, and appointing subcontractors, along with placing orders for materials and plant.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating variations to contracts with customers and suppliers.
  • Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers.
  • Producing monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, while managing cashflows.

What Are We Looking For?

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You possess excellent communication skills and have experience working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and supply chains.
  • You hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable) and have experience in a similar role.
  • You have strong organizational skills and can prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • You’re flexible, a team player, and can also work independently using your initiative.
  • You are proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.
