Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic HS2 North Calvert Civils Package team in Twyford, Buckinghamshire. This is your chance to play a crucial role in one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, driving commercial performance and maximizing value while supporting the successful delivery of major civil engineering works.

Key Details

  • Location: Twyford, Buckinghamshire
  • Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week (flexibility available)
  • Salary: Starting from £65,000 per year + private healthcare + £6,700 annual car allowance + comprehensive benefits package
  • Note: We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this role.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing the commercial performance of this high-profile project. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Managing commercial resources and contract administration to maximize project value and achieve planned gross margin targets.
  • Preparing and submitting applications for payment, valuations, compensation events, claims, and commercial reporting data.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks across the project.
  • Supporting effective cash flow management through accurate measurement, valuation, and invoicing processes.
  • Valuing subcontractor works and certifying interim and final payments in accordance with contractual requirements.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for someone with a strong commercial acumen who thrives on complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects. We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, highways, rail, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
  • A relevant qualification such as a Degree, HNC, or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships across project teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
