Basic Salary: Up to £38,616.92 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Office Location: Chorley (Homebased, supporting foster parents in Manchester and surrounding areas)

What You’ll Do
As a Supervising Social Worker, your role will be vital in supporting foster families and ensuring the best outcomes for children. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting foster parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
- Monitoring the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Providing clear guidance on fostering tasks, competencies, and FCA policies.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions with allocated foster parents.
- Collaborating with the child’s network to identify needs and provide necessary support.
- Ensuring compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.
- Attending meetings and providing reports for commissioning teams.
- Encouraging participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
- Participating in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
- Occasionally conducting initial home visits and Form F assessments.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Social Work qualification.
- Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- The willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
- Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
- A full driving licence.
