Your Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to fostering. You will play a vital role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring high levels of supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions with allocated foster parents, monitoring their practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessment, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children’s services.
- A full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.
This position is demanding yet rewarding, requiring excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. You will also be responsible for quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.
