Base Location: Ashurst, Southampton
Salary: Up to £39,500 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Your Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to fostering. You will play a vital role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high-quality placements for children. Your collaborative approach will help foster parents thrive in their roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children’s services.
  • A full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes quality assurance and training responsibilities for both prospective and current foster parents. You will need to be an excellent report writer and adept at meeting strict deadlines.
