What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary:
    • Unqualified: Base salary of £30,277.23 to £31,208.49 (upon successful completion of probation)
    • Qualified: Base salary of £31,867.18 (for those with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent)
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Specific Hours: 08:00am - 20:00pm (12-hour shifts)
  • Location: Greater London (covering Camden, Haringey & Islington)
  • Comprehensive Induction: Mandatory training to support your development and progression
  • Fixed Shift Rota:
    • Week 1: Wed, Thur (24 hours)
    • Week 2: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun (60 hours)
  • Guaranteed Minimum: Average of 168 hours per month
  • Waking Night Contracts: Available
  • Annual Leave: 236 hours per year, increasing by 12 hours annually for 3 years (up to 272 hours)
  • Pension Scheme: Available after qualifying period
  • Fully Funded Qualifications: Enrolment onto required qualifications

Your Role:

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for our young people. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a supportive atmosphere that fosters development
  • Providing emotional and social support to help young people build positive relationships
  • Promoting confidence, self-esteem, and independence
  • Maintaining accurate records, including daily updates and safeguarding information
  • Assessing individual needs and contributing to care plans
  • Collaborating with managers, colleagues, and external professionals
  • Supporting daily living needs and assisting with household tasks

What We’re Looking For:

We seek individuals who are:

  • Engaging and proactive in their approach to working with young people
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Sensitive, reflective, and empathetic
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experienced in the care sector or residential care
  • Committed to obtaining a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
  • Willing to work some Bank Holidays
