Are you a warm-hearted and motivated individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? At Bayview Childcare, we are on the lookout for passionate Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our welcoming team in Lancaster. You will play a vital role in supporting children aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral needs in our family-style homes.

Your Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide high-quality care and key worker support, consistently meeting and exceeding Ofsted standards.
  • Build trusting, positive relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals.
  • Contribute to individual care plans that foster confidence, life skills, and positive outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment, assisting with daily tasks like cooking and shopping.
  • Support children through daily activities, responding appropriately to their needs and concerns.
  • Accurately record progress, behavior, incidents, and feedback to ensure clear communication with management.
  • Complete and follow risk assessments for all activities, upholding policies and childcare regulations.
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting a culture of trust, belonging, and teamwork.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A commitment to completing a Level 3 Diploma or Level 4 Practitioner Apprenticeship within two years if you do not already hold a relevant qualification.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern of 40 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to work in one of our homes located in Heysham or rural North Lancaster.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary starting at £26,603.20 per annum, with the potential to earn up to £33,323.20 per annum through sleep-in shifts. Additional benefits include:

  • Up to £6,720 in sleep-in payments (based on 6-8 shifts per month at £70 each).
