About the Role
This is a 12-month Fixed Term, Full-Time position covering maternity leave, with a salary range of £21,257.48 - £23,232.69. You will be working during term time only, allowing you to focus on your professional growth and the well-being of our students.
What You'll Do
- Mentor and support one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils.
- Assist the classroom teacher during lessons and contribute to lesson planning.
- Report on pupils' progress and collaborate with staff to meet their needs.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom times, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to drive engagement and learning outcomes.
- Adapt resources to cater to the unique needs of young learners.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
- Confidence to take on additional responsibilities, such as Food Hygiene or School Yoga.
- Skills in behaviour management and a commitment to professional development.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
