We are excited to invite a dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster.
About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will hold the key responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home. Your leadership will ensure that we deliver a high-quality level of care, promoting the rights of young people and supporting their transitions into adulthood.
Main Responsibilities
- Service and Practice: Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with relevant legislation, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of care workers to achieve positive outcomes for young people in their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.
- Record Keeping: Maintain appropriate records for both young people and staff, implementing monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Meetings: Prepare for and chair various internal and external meetings.
- On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in on-call duties and cover sleep-in shifts as needed.
- Admissions Oversight: Manage all admissions and discharges to the home.
Human Resource Management
- Involve in the recruitment of new employees and ensure all relevant checks are completed.
- Oversee staff induction, supervision, and appraisal in line with organizational policy.
- Ensure continuous professional development of the staff team, meeting all mandatory training requirements.
Management of Resources
- Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met.
- Ensure the maintenance of service premises and equipment meets all requirements.
External Affairs
- Promote the organization positively with external agencies and the public.
- Liaise with commissioners regarding admissions.
Required Attributes
- Enthusiasm for providing the highest quality care and education.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with a commitment of 39 hours per week. Some office days will be required for administrative duties.
