Location & Hours

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours a week)

Your Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing commercial resources to maximize our planned gross margin. You’ll be working from the site or office for 3+ days a week, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality projects for our key strategic clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin and support budgeted profitability.
• Tender, evaluate, and appoint subcontractors, placing orders for materials and plant.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate variations to contracts with customers and suppliers.
• Measure and value work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers.
• Produce monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, managing cash flows effectively.

• You possess strong communication skills and have experience working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and supply chains.
• You hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable) and have experience in a similar role.
• You have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• You’re flexible, able to work as part of a team, and can use your initiative.
• You are proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.
