Your New Role

Join us at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden as an Assistant Lead FMA and become a vital part of maintaining our high-profile studio. You’ll support the Lead FMA in ensuring that our offices, sound stages, workshops, and external areas are safe, functional, and visually stunning.

In this hands-on role, you’ll coordinate contractors, oversee daily workflows, and help develop a multi-skilled team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards, monitoring performance, and ensuring safe working practices in a dynamic environment. This is your chance to contribute to strategic planning and assist with vendor management while keeping our complex site running smoothly.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in developing a long-term maintenance strategy aligned with WBSL Facilities objectives.
  • Champion innovation and stay updated on evolving industry practices.
  • Report progress and updates through various media, promptly addressing issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, including compliance records and Planon updates.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Train the team on all equipment and ensure training records are up to date.
  • React to emergencies with a focus on implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide guidance to contractors working within the studio.
  • Be the point of contact out of hours for any queries or issues.

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Supervisory experience in the construction or facilities industry.
  • Multi-trade experience.
  • Strong understanding of COSHH.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license.

Desirable Skills

  • City & Guilds Construction Qualifications.
  • Building Construction Qualifications.
  • Practical Training/Apprenticeship.
  • Proficiency in Decorating and/or relevant qualifications.
  • Groundworks/Drainage experience.
  • CSCS Card.
  • IPAF/Forklift certification.

Working Pattern

This role requires a commitment to a 40-hour week on a rota shift pattern, including evenings and weekends to align with studio operations and tours. You may also need to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours.

Onsite Working: This position is onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the studio. Please note that WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary for business needs.
