At Apple Orchard School, we are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic PSHE/Careers Teacher to join our expanding therapeutic community in Horsham, West Sussex. Your Role

As a PSHE/Careers Teacher, you will:

  • Inspire and motivate young people to reach their full potential.
  • Develop and deliver engaging programmes of study in PSHE, Careers, vocational subjects, and ASDAN.
  • Utilize outstanding classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to enhance the educational experience.
  • Teach additional subjects as needed, showcasing your versatility.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A passion for working with vulnerable young people and building solid relationships.
  • High expectations and a clear vision for educational excellence.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to contribute to our small, hardworking team.
  • A valid driving license to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position during term time only, with hours as follows:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:45 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Tuesday: 8:45 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £37,800, depending on experience. Additionally, you will:
