Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Foxton, just south of Cambridge, our specialist education caters to 7-18-year-olds facing social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Our dedicated team works with pupils who may have diagnoses such as ASD, ADHD, FASD, anxiety, and various learning needs.
With small class sizes of just 4-6 children, we ensure that every pupil receives the individual attention they need to thrive. Our expansive private grounds provide a therapeutic environment, perfect for outdoor learning experiences, including:

Your Role
As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
- Mentoring and supporting one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils
- Assisting the classroom teacher during lessons
- Reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other staff to meet pupils' needs
- Supervising pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips
- Assisting with lesson planning and classroom preparation
- Setting work where appropriate and marking
- Building positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and positive learning outcomes
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting
- Confidence to take on additional responsibilities, such as food hygiene, forest school, lunchtimes, or school yoga
- Experience in behavior management techniques
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn
