About the Project
Join us in delivering an exciting major scheme for Durham County Council! You’ll be part of the £61m North East Technology Park (NETPark), which will create up to 232,000 square feet of flexible laboratory, office, production, and storage space. As a Senior Project Surveyor, you’ll collaborate with the commercial lead, managing a large supply chain and ensuring outstanding commercial outcomes from start to finish.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Surveyor, you’ll play a crucial role in our commercial team, focusing on:
- Managing applications for payment from sub-contractors and preparing client applications.
- Negotiating with the supply chain to achieve the best value and awarding work packages.
- Monitoring actual expenditure against budgets through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports.
- Ensuring all variations are properly costed and logged in line with contract conditions.
- Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have experience in commercial construction projects with a strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
- You’ve successfully delivered high-value projects ranging from £20M to £100M within a Main Contracting organization.
- You hold a relevant degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- You’re confident in dealing with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- You possess a Full driving licence.
