Your New Role

Join us at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden as an Assistant Lead FMA and become a vital part of our high-profile studio’s upkeep and presentation. You’ll support the Lead FMA in delivering essential maintenance across offices, sound stages, workshops, and external areas, ensuring every space is safe, functional, and visually appealing.

In this hands-on role, you’ll coordinate contractors, oversee daily workflows, and help develop a multi-skilled team. You’ll maintain high standards, monitor performance, and ensure safe working practices in a dynamic environment. This is your chance to contribute to strategic planning and vendor management while ensuring the smooth operation of a complex site.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Plan, organize, and execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Assist in developing a long-term maintenance strategy aligned with WBSL Facilities objectives.
• Champion innovation and stay updated on evolving industry practices.
• Report progress and updates through various media, responding to and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records, including sign-off sheets and compliance documentation.
• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Train the team on equipment and safety protocols, ensuring all training records are up to date.
• React to emergencies with a focus on implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Provide guidance to contractors working within the studio.
• Be the point of contact out of hours for the on-site team regarding queries or issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Supervisory experience in the construction industry or facilities management.
• Multi-trade experience.
• Strong understanding of COSHH regulations.
• Must hold a full UK driving license.

Desirable Qualifications

• City & Guilds Construction Qualifications.
• Building Construction Qualifications.
• Practical Training/Apprenticeship.
• Proficiency in Decorating and/or relevant qualifications.
• Groundworks/Drainage experience.
• CSCS Card.
• IPAF/Forklift certification.

Working Pattern

This role requires a commitment to a 40-hour week on a rota shift pattern, including evenings and weekends in line with studio operations. You may also need to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours.

Onsite Working: This position is advertised as onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the studio. WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary for business needs, with reasonable notice.
