As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, family-style residential care for young individuals aged 11-18. Your support will be centered around their unique needs, helping them feel included in their community and reach their full potential.

Main Purpose of the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will:

• Deliver high-quality care and positive outcomes for young people.
• Act as a key worker, overseeing daily practices and supporting continuous improvement.
• Lead and mentor staff, ensuring care plans and safeguarding standards are met.
• Manage placement plans and coordinate access to health, education, and therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and coaching to ensure excellent care standards.
• Support the management team in upholding care standards and implementing policies.
• Monitor compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Health & Safety standards.
• Contribute to quality assurance, including inspections and Regulation 44 visits.
• Assist with managing the home’s budget and general household upkeep.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• A Children’s Workforce Diploma or equivalent qualification in the children sector.

Working Conditions

Your work schedule will follow a fixed rota pattern:

• Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun (60 hours)
• Week 2: Wed, Thu (24 hours)

Minimum average of 168 hours per month, with 236 hours of annual leave. Annual leave increases by 12 hours per year for 3 years (up to 272 hours).
