Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? At Martha H School, located in the heart of Wigan, Lancashire, we are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our vibrant community. This is a full-time, term-time only position with a competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £39,520, depending on your experience.

Your Role

As a SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, addressing the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.
  • Support the class team in facilitating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
  • Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with other staff to ensure their needs are met.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and enhance learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a suitable degree-level qualification.
  • Previous successful teaching experience.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.
  • Strong behavior management skills and techniques.
  • A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
