• Salary: Up to £15,423.23 per Annum

• Contract: Fixed-Term / Part-Time

Your Role

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and social development of Year 6 and Year 7 pupils with Special Educational Needs. Working closely with the SENDCo and teaching staff, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Class Teacher in supporting pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis.
• Preparing and maintaining differentiated resources to meet the requirements of the pupil's Educational Care Health Plan.
• Delivering targeted support for pupils with SEND, including implementing IEPs and intervention programmes.
• Promoting positive behaviour, independence, wellbeing, and inclusion.
• Providing pastoral support and contributing to safeguarding and child protection.
• Supervising pupils during breaktimes and other non-classroom activities.
• Supporting school events, educational visits, and extracurricular activities.
• Participating in meetings and professional development.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Experience with children with SEND, particularly ASC or SEMH.
• A genuine enthusiasm for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• GCSEs in Maths and English, grade C or above.
• A Level 3 Qualification in Learning Support or Childcare (desirable).
• The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with children.
• Basic computer literacy skills.
• A flexible approach to teamwork.
