Job Title: Admissions Assistant

Location: Akeley Wood School, Akeley, Buckingham

Salary: £29,343 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8am - 5pm

Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

Holiday Entitlement: 25 days + bank holidays

The Role

We are on the lookout for an organised, personable, and proactive Admissions Assistant to join our busy Marketing & Admissions team. This is a key front-facing role, supporting families from their first enquiry through to joining the school, ensuring every parent receives a professional, personalised, and memorable experience.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Managing enquiries efficiently and professionally, ensuring every family receives timely, accurate information.
  • Building rapport with prospective parents and pupils, tailoring tours and conversations to their needs and interests.
  • Coordinating 1:1 and group tours, supporting families throughout their visit and post-tour follow-up.
  • Maintaining accurate data and records across admissions systems.
  • Supporting the organisation of recruitment, assessment, and taster events.
  • Ensuring all required documentation is collected and processed in line with school and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing excellent customer service at every stage of the admissions journey.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A warm, confident, and professional manner.
  • Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident use of IT systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in a customer-facing, data-driven, or sales-oriented role.

Experience working in a school environment or with admissions systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, iSAMs) would be an advantage.
