We’re on the lookout for caring and motivated Residential Support Workers to join our Dorchester team. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Assist young people with their daily routines
- Build trusting relationships and become a reliable adult figure
- Empower them to develop confidence, life skills, and independence
- Ensure they feel safe, supported, and encouraged every day
Previous experience with children or young people is beneficial, but we welcome those new to this rewarding field. We’re committed to providing you with all the training and support you need!
Working Pattern
Your shifts will be on a rotating schedule:
- Each shift lasts 24 hours, with sleep-in accommodations provided
- Typically, you will work two or three shifts in a row
- Expect a mix of weekdays and weekends
- Opportunities for overtime are available if desired
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or be willing to pursue one
- Be friendly and able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues
- Be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
