Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience

About Our School

Located in the heart of Wirral, our school will cater to up to 42 pupils aged 5 to 18, providing a safe and supportive environment for those with complex needs. About You

We are looking for a forward-thinking leader who is passionate about education and ready to shape the future of our school. Your role as Head Teacher will be pivotal in building a new team and enhancing the educational experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Educational Leadership: Develop and implement a vision that aligns with the ethos of the Polaris Community, focusing on compassion, inclusion, and personalized learning.
• Safeguarding: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, collaborating with partners to ensure a robust safeguarding culture.
• Curriculum Enhancement: Tailor the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring an engaging learning journey.
• Pastoral Care and SEN Advocacy: Champion emotional wellbeing and advocate for the rights and needs of our SEN students.
• Staff Development: Mentor and support staff, promoting continuous professional growth and a collaborative team spirit.
• Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external partners to create a cohesive support network.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with primary or secondary teaching experience
• A suitable first degree and/or National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) - NPQH is not essential
• Experience working with SEN students and a deep understanding of their unique requirements
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
