We are excited to invite a dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster.
About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be the heart of our home, responsible for ensuring high-quality care and fostering positive relationships with the young people in our care. Your leadership will guide a team of care workers, helping to create a nurturing environment that supports their transition into adulthood.
Main Responsibilities
- Service and Practice: Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with legislation, regulations, and our organizational policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support a dedicated team, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to provide exceptional care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for both young people and staff, implementing effective monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Meetings: Prepare for and chair various internal and external meetings, fostering collaboration and communication.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in on-call responsibilities and cover sleep-in shifts as needed.
- Admissions Oversight: Manage all admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition for young people.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: A relevant Diploma Level 5 or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards it.
- Experience: Proven experience in managing a team and a comprehensive understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Enthusiasm: A genuine passion for providing the highest quality care and education.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position requiring 39 hours per week, including sleep-in duties as per the home’s rota. Some office days will be necessary for administrative tasks.
