With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the heart of our mission, providing them with the specialist support they need. Our Integrated Service Programme (ISP) encompasses a wide range of professionals, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working collaboratively to support foster parents and the children they care for.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
- Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload that allows for meaningful supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing foster parents' practices.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- A strong report writer, capable of meeting strict deadlines.
- Possessing a full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own car.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position that includes:
- A £3,000 car allowance.
- 30 days of annual leave, increasing to 35 days with length of service, plus bank holidays.
