Location: Suffolk
Hours: 45 hours per week (some flexibility available—just let us know during our conversation!)

Your Role
As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering our engineering activities. You’ll provide technical direction, ensure compliance with industry standards, and lead our talented engineering teams through the planning, design, execution, and delivery of civil engineering projects. Your expertise will be crucial in strategic decision-making, quality assurance, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting role, you will:
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for civil engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
- Manage the delivery of contractor and temporary works design, reviewing and approving designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Guide, mentor, and develop project engineers and technical staff.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and are a Chartered Engineer (MICE, MIStructE, or equivalent).
- Have relevant experience in civil engineering, including leadership roles, with a proven track record in managing large-scale or complex infrastructure projects.
- Possess strong knowledge of civil design standards and construction methods, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Can balance technical excellence with business and operational objectives while collaborating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Hold a CSCS Card and are committed to delivering safely and ethically.
