Are you ready to make a difference this winter? We’re on the lookout for dedicated Winter Maintenance Drivers to join our Transportation team in beautiful Shropshire. If you’re passionate about keeping the UK moving, even in the coldest months, we want to hear from you!

Location: Shrewsbury, Craven Arms, or Oswestry - Shropshire

Contract: Fixed-term zero-hour contract until April 2027 - Flexible days, nights, and weekends - Call-out & weather-dependent

Salary: £18.50 per hour - Weekly pay

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you’ll be an essential part of our Maintenance team, ensuring that roads remain safe and accessible during winter weather. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Driving a gritter vehicle during unsociable hours
• Fitting a snow plough when conditions demand it
• Maintaining accurate driver and vehicle records

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

• You can be fully flexible to meet rota needs, including unsociable hours (you must not be covering more than 11 hours in another role)
• You hold a current HGV Class 2 licence
• You have CPC accreditation and are willing to undertake any necessary training
