Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,000 to £29,800 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

Your Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our highways maintenance team, where you’ll play a vital role in enhancing and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps our communities connected and safe. As a Highways Operative, you’ll work closely with a supportive team to deliver high-quality highway repairs and improvements.
What Will You Be Responsible For?
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operating light plant equipment such as compressors, rollers, disc cutters, and vibrating plates, while ensuring their daily upkeep.
- Assisting skilled team members with kerbing, drainage, paving, bricklaying, and surfacing works.
- Excavating materials safely and efficiently using hand and powered tools.
- Performing general site duties including sweeping, cleaning, litter picking, and handling materials and equipment.
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive working environment for all team members.
