Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) is an internal MEP self-delivery design and build business within the Kier group. We support regional businesses across the UK and engage in strategic projects. Our expertise spans core sectors including Custodial, Commercial, and Health & Science. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will ensure that projects meet specifications, stay within budget, and adhere to timelines—all while collaborating with our talented project teams.
Your Responsibilities
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient electrical engineering solutions. Your daily tasks will include:
- Ensuring all works are procured, planned, and executed safely in accordance with Kier standards and UK law.
- Reviewing designs with teams and clients to optimize for efficient and safe construction.
- Managing change control procedures and implementing quality control measures.
- Providing leadership and guidance to project team members within your area of responsibility.
- Identifying project risks and opportunities, and supporting mitigation and enhancement efforts.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have a strong technical background in Electrical Services and safety, holding a relevant industry-accredited qualification.
- You possess CSCS and SMSTS accreditation as a minimum.
- You have experience working collaboratively within project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- You can understand budgets and commercial priorities, making sound decisions based on clear criteria.
