Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our dynamic Thames Water East Hyde Project team, located in Harpenden STW, Hertfordshire.

Location: Harpenden STW, Hertfordshire
Hours: 45 hours per week (some flexibility available—just let us know during our conversation!)

Your Role

As a Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supervising and controlling all mechanical site activities, ensuring that we meet Kier's health and safety standards at all times. You’ll be part of our strategic partnership with Thames Water, delivering top-notch design and build services for both new and existing infrastructure assets.

What Will You Be Responsible For?

In this role, you will support the Thames Water East Hyde Project team in delivering safe and compliant mechanical installations. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors.
  • Supervising work to ensure compliance with Method Statements and Work Instructions.
  • Reviewing and signing off project Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring they are managed through Kier's common data environment.
  • Overseeing mechanical contractor testing and ensuring works align with Thames Water's asset standards.
  • Collaborating with the supply chain on-site to troubleshoot and support the development of commissioning documentation.

What Are We Looking For?

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold a full driving license and have proven experience in the Water Industry.
  • You possess an NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical Installations and a relevant CSCS Card.
  • You have SSSTS/SMSTS and Confined Spaces qualifications.
  • You have a solid understanding of sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and typical M&E plant/equipment.
  • You demonstrate competent judgment and problem-solving skills, with an understanding of Mechanical Test Regimes.
