Location & Hours

Location: Southampton - Enjoy the flexibility of remote working with occasional office visits.

Your Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Construction team, playing a key role in planning and delivering structural work across various contracts. You’ll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from inspection programming to coordinating maintenance delivery, all while collaborating with a supportive team in a vibrant environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Plan works and inspections in collaboration with the Contracts Manager and Programme Manager, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contract requirements while meeting KPIs.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, providing program updates and working closely with inspectors and engineers to keep project schedules on track.
  • Monitor programs daily, capturing essential notifications, identifying critical activities for successful delivery, and maintaining up-to-date scheme registers.
  • Track key performance indicators, manage task requests from clients, and develop design and build delivery programs for client approval.
  • Review health and safety documentation, ensuring subcontractor risk assessments meet standards, and oversee the completion of safety files and certificates.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold an HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering and possess an SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
  • You have experience in traffic management, highways environments, rail, or London Underground projects.
  • You’re comfortable managing multiple schemes and projects simultaneously.
  • You hold a full driving license to visit depots and sites as required.
