Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key player in supporting the delivery of commercial excellence across Kier Design. You’ll work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and be involved in:
- Leading subcontractor procurement activities, including tendering, evaluation, and appointment.
- Managing whole-life subcontract performance.
- Supporting contract administration and change control processes.
- Providing accurate forecasting and reporting, preparing client applications for payment.
- Ensuring compliance with commercial standards and controls through PLM governance.
- Contributing to team efficiency by monitoring utilization and supporting bid and tender activities.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have experience in a similar Quantity Surveying role within construction, consultancy, design, or term-service environments.
- You possess strong contractual awareness, including NEC and general commercial principles.
- You’re confident in preparing client applications, forecasting, cost reporting, and managing change control processes.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are detail-oriented.
- You’re a collaborative problem-solver with strong time management skills and commercial judgment.
