Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Kier Places - Building Solutions team in the vibrant city of London.

Location & Hours

Location: London

Hours: 40 hours a week, from 08:30 to 17:00

Your Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing the commercial resources of exciting refurbishment and re-cladding projects valued between £5m - £15m. You’ll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-quality projects that positively impact communities across London.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Manage commercial resources and maximize planned gross margin through effective contract placement and control.
  • Tender, evaluate, and appoint subcontractors, while placing orders for materials and plant.
  • Identify, negotiate, and agree on project variations with customers and suppliers.
  • Measure, value, and agree on work progress to support invoicing and payment processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the supply chain.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You have a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (desirable) and relevant experience in a similar role.
  • You possess strong communication skills and can effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • You’re highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • You’re confident using IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems.
  • You’re a team player, willing to share knowledge and support others while taking initiative when needed.
