Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire, NN12 8QA
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:45
Salary: £30,500 to £33,600, based on experience and qualifications

Your Role
As a Highways Ganger, you will lead a dedicated maintenance team, ensuring essential carriageway, footway, and drainage works are completed across Northamptonshire. This hands-on position allows you to:
- Lead and supervise a small team on-site, ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
- Manage site safety, including conducting risk assessments and completing all associated paperwork.
- Operate light plant equipment such as compressors, rollers, disc cutters, and vibrating plates.
- Support skilled operatives with kerbing, drainage, paving, surfacing, and repair works.
- Undertake excavation work using hand and powered tools, along with general site maintenance and materials handling.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You hold a full driving licence.
- You have previous experience in highway maintenance or a similar field, along with relevant certificates.
- You’ve completed health and safety training appropriate for this level of work.
- You’re a natural team player who enjoys collaborating and building strong working relationships.
- You’re committed to delivering quality work safely and take pride in what you do.
