About Us

Kier Construction is a leader in delivering public sector works across our Eastern South region. Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in our Construction team, ensuring exceptional design management across all project stages. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Managing and delivering design information in line with agreed programmes and schedules.
  • Ensuring appointed design consultants fulfill their duties and adhere to standards and briefs.
  • Assessing, mitigating, and managing design-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Chairing design meetings, writing reports, and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring design compliance with health and safety legislation, sustainable building standards, and industry codes of practice.

What We're Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold a relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture with proven experience in a design role within a main contractor environment.
  • You have experience with BIM Level 2 projects and exceptional knowledge of the design process at both commercial and construction stages.
  • You possess a deep understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and are up-to-date with current building regulations.
  • You can create detailed presentations and feel comfortable delivering them to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You hold a full driving license.
