Are you ready to make a difference this winter? We’re on the lookout for dedicated Winter Maintenance Drivers to join our dynamic Transportation team in Glastonbury. If you’re passionate about keeping the UK moving, even in the coldest months, we want to hear from you!
Location: Glastonbury, Somerset
Contract: Fixed term zero hour contract until April 2027 - Flexible days/nights/weekends - Call out & weather dependent
Salary: £18.04 per hour (Monday to Saturday) and £23.52 per hour (Sunday and Bank Holidays) PLUS a weekly standby of £238.99
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you’ll play a crucial role in our Maintenance team, ensuring that roads remain safe and accessible during winter weather. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Driving a gritter vehicle during unsociable hours
- Fitting a snow plough when conditions demand it
- Maintaining accurate driver and vehicle records
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Hold a current LGV class 2 licence
- Have CPC accreditation and are eager to undertake relevant training
