Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge? We’re looking for a Site Manager to join our dynamic team in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. This is your chance to lead a variety of Major Projects and Local Authority civil engineering schemes across the beautiful East Midlands!
Job Details
Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire – Onsite 5 days a week
Hours: Permanent Full-time, 40 hours per week (some flexibility available)
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000 per year + £5,900 annual car allowance + private healthcare + additional benefits

Your Responsibilities
As our Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering highways infrastructure projects, including:
- Interchange and junction improvements
- New builds and town centre regeneration
- Active travel schemes and maintenance projects
- Carriageway reconstruction, resurfacing, drainage improvements, and structures repairs
In this role, you will:
- Manage both Kier staff and labour framework operatives, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of the works programme
- Produce and review construction phase plans to uphold Health and Safety standards on site
- Act as Principal Contractor, overseeing scheme delivery by subcontractors
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Designers, and Commercial teams
- Engage with clients, the public, elected councillors, and parish councils
- Inspect the quality of work in line with the Inspection Test Plan and scheme specifications
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Have experience managing projects under NEC 4 contracts, confidently overseeing programme, cost, quality, and commercial requirements
- Hold an HNC, HND, degree, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline
- Possess industry-recognized certifications, including NRSWA Supervisor, 12D M7 Traffic Management, and SMSTS
- Have a full driving licence and are comfortable traveling to various sites
- Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing both directly employed teams and civil engineering contractors
