Are you ready to make a significant impact on a major infrastructure project? We’re seeking a Site Engineer to join our dynamic A66 project team in Penrith. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring that our works are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with design specifications and quality standards.

Key Details

Location: Penrith – onsite 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per year + £4,750 annual car allowance + benefits

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Site Engineer, you will provide essential technical support on-site, coordinating and monitoring construction activities while ensuring compliance with project requirements. You’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver the project on time and to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and controlling your section of the works in line with agreed programmes, quality standards, and health and safety obligations.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with the Client and key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring safe working practices are always upheld on site.
  • Collaborating effectively with clients, suppliers, and business partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Promoting continuous improvement across all activities and sharing best practices.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Hold a degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or have relevant on-site experience.
  • Possess a valid CSCS card and have a strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards in a construction environment.
  • Are confident using surveying and engineering technology, including CAD, Civil 3D, Total Stations, and GPS equipment.
  • Enjoy building positive relationships through clear communication with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Bring a proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction projects.
