Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Engineer to become a vital part of our Kier Design team in beautiful Norwich. Here, you’ll be part of a dynamic internal consultancy with over 750 talented professionals, dedicated to delivering top-notch Civil & Structural Infrastructure Engineering services.

This is an incredible opportunity to make a real impact on complex projects, providing innovative solutions that are both safe and buildable, all while helping our clients achieve their goals. Our Structures & Geotechnical team is expanding, and we work with esteemed clients like Local Authorities, National Highways, Network Rail, and major water sector companies including Anglian Water, Southern Water, and Thames Water.

Location & Hours

Location: Norwich - Enjoy the flexibility of remote working, with occasional office visits required.
Hours: 40 hours per week - We offer flexibility, so just let us know what works for you!

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll play a key role in our Structures & Geotechnical team, leading the delivery of a diverse range of Civil & Structural / MEICA services. Your focus will be on ensuring that all solutions are safe and buildable, both in temporary and permanent states.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Leading design for permanent and temporary works in structures, highways, geotechnics, and infrastructure.
  • Providing tender and bid support, including outline design schemes and feasibility studies focused on buildability and efficiency.
  • Offering design management advice and coordination to enhance bid success and project delivery.
  • Conducting technical assessments and reviews of third-party designs to ensure compliance with client and Kier standards.
  • Managing project finances, developing fee proposals, and ensuring timely delivery within budget.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You are an Incorporated member (IEng) of a relevant professional institution or EngTech with substantial experience in civil and structural engineering.
  • You are focused, disciplined, and thorough in your work, always striving to deliver for clients.
  • You hold a full driving license.
