Location: Twyford, Buckinghamshire – site-based 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week

Your Role
As a Senior/Section Engineer - Civils, you will take charge of the engineering and technical delivery for a defined section of works. Collaborating closely with the wider site team, you’ll ensure that construction is executed safely, to specification, on schedule, and to the high-quality standards we uphold at Kier.
What Will You Be Responsible For?
In this collaborative engineering team, your technical expertise and site experience will be crucial for successful project delivery. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing engineering activities across your section of works, ensuring construction aligns with drawings and specifications.
- Creating short-term programmes and lookahead plans, coordinating resources, materials, and subcontractors to keep the project on track.
- Maintaining accurate inspection, testing, and as-built records to support robust quality assurance across the project.
- Leading safety briefings and upholding high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on site.
- Providing technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to Site Engineers and junior team members.
What Are We Looking For?
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on taking ownership, solving technical challenges, and fostering the development of others. We’re seeking candidates who have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Progress towards Chartered status, ideally with ICE.
- Strong technical knowledge of civils or infrastructure works.
- Experience in supporting or managing engineering teams in a site environment.
- A solid understanding of quality assurance processes, documentation, and project records.
