Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Engineer to join our dynamic regional build team based in Southampton. This is your chance to make a real impact while working on exciting projects!

Location & Hours

Location: Southampton - Enjoy the flexibility of remote working, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 40 hours per week - We offer flexibility, so just let us know what works for you!

Your Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will be at the forefront of planning and delivering structural work across our contracts. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team in a fast-paced environment, tackling a variety of projects from inspection programming to maintenance coordination.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Plan works and inspections alongside the Contracts Manager and Programme Manager, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, providing updates and collaborating with inspectors and engineers to keep projects on track.
  • Monitor programmes daily, capturing essential notifications and identifying critical activities for successful delivery.
  • Track key performance indicators, manage client task requests, and develop design and build delivery programmes for approval.
  • Review health and safety documentation, ensuring subcontractor risk assessments meet standards and overseeing the completion of safety files and certificates.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Hold an HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering and possess an SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
  • Have experience in traffic management, highways environments, rail, or London Underground projects.
  • Are comfortable managing multiple schemes and projects simultaneously.
  • Hold a full driving licence to visit depots and sites as needed.
