Are you ready to make a significant impact in the water industry? We’re on the lookout for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic Thames Water Major Projects team, based on-site in Wisley, Surrey.

Location & Hours

Location: Wisley, Surrey
Hours: 45 hours per week (some flexibility available—just let us know when we chat!)

Your Role

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be at the forefront of delivering electrical engineering excellence for major water infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is quality-focused and has a proven track record in managing Low Voltage Electrical works and Motor Control Centre delivery.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Review and comment on electrical documentation, ensuring compliance with asset standards.
  • Represent Kier at client meetings and coordinate electrical commissioning activities with the Thames Water Operations team.
  • Conduct fault finding and system configuration for electrical equipment, including Motor Control Centres and local control panels.
  • Attend Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure MCC/RTU builds meet design criteria.
  • Support MCC manufacturers to ensure designs comply with Thames Water Standards and conduct technical reviews of Electrical Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Hold an HNC qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation engineering (or a similar discipline).
  • Have experience in low voltage electrical installations on large-scale water treatment works.
  • Possess a working knowledge of large motor control centres and understand communications protocols like Profibus, DeviceNet, and Ethernet IP.
  • Are safety-conscious with strong contractor management skills.
  • Excel in interpersonal skills and thrive in a multi-discipline team environment.
